Rebecca Stromberg is editor of the Durango Daily and should be planning her wedding. After a devastating event as a young woman, she now feels this is the happiest she will ever be.

Sandy Williamson has lived a lie for most of her life, now with her daughter Demi heading off to university she is ready to move on and start afresh on her own, closing the door on her old life.

When the Sheriff informs Rebecca about a couple missing under suspicious circumstances the feelings that the editor has been repressing can be contained no longer and threaten to spiral out of control. Sandy’s parents intervene in her life once too often, taunting their son-in-law Richard with the whole story behind events 22 years earlier, that Sandy has used him and that he will be a laughingstock from Pagosa Springs to Durango unless he puts a stop to the truth coming out, no matter what it takes. When Demi’s life is in danger Rebecca steps in to protect her, with deadly consequences.

Both women, who have not seen each other for 22 years, have been living with heartbreak and guilt throughout their adult years. Can recent events allow them to form a friendship or will their past stand in the way?
